This policy explains what information Renovation Drafting & Design (“RDD Solutions”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use rddsolution.com, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
We collect two kinds of information: what you deliberately send us through a contact form, an email or a phone call, and what is collected automatically by analytics and advertising tools while you browse. We use the first to answer you and quote your project. We use the second to understand which pages are useful and whether our advertising is working. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send you marketing you did not ask for.

Information you give us
When you fill in a form, email us, or call, we receive whatever you choose to provide. That typically includes:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- The address or location of the property you are asking about
- A description of the project you are considering
- Anything else you put in the message field, and any files or drawings you send us
We ask for this because we cannot answer a question about a remodel without knowing something about the house. Please do not send us information you would not want us to have.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours uses third-party tools that set cookies and collect usage data. Specifically:
- Google Analytics 4 — measures which pages are visited, how long people stay, and roughly where visitors are located. Used to understand what content is useful.
- Google Tag Manager — the container that loads the tags below. It does not itself collect personal information.
- Google Ads — measures whether people who click one of our ads go on to contact us, and may be used for remarketing (showing our ads to people who have visited this site).
- Google reCAPTCHA — protects our forms from automated spam. Its use is subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms.
- Our web host and server logs — standard technical records including IP address, browser type and pages requested, kept for security and troubleshooting.
This data is broadly about behavior on the site rather than about you personally, but IP addresses and advertising identifiers can in some circumstances be treated as personal information under California law, which is why they are listed here.
How we use information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a proposal or estimate
- To carry out design and drafting work you have engaged us for, including submitting drawings to a building department on your behalf
- To understand which parts of this site are useful and improve them
- To measure whether our advertising is reaching the right people
- To meet our legal, tax and professional record-keeping obligations
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling to make decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is necessary, and never for money. The categories are:
- Service providers who operate parts of our business — website hosting, email, analytics and advertising platforms — and who are permitted to use the information only to provide that service.
- Consultants on your project, where you have engaged us and the work requires it. This typically means a licensed structural engineer, a geotechnical consultant, or a Title 24 energy consultant.
- Building and planning departments, where we are submitting a permit application on your behalf. Permit applications are generally public records.
- Your contractor or other parties you have asked us to coordinate with.
- Legal and professional advisers, or where we are required to disclose information by law.
Cookies and your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking them entirely — though parts of this site may not work properly if you do. You can also:
- Opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google’s browser add-on
- Adjust or turn off personalised advertising in your Google Ad Settings
- Use a browser or extension that sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we treat as a valid opt-out request under California law
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it and who we shared it with
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions such as records we must keep for legal or professional reasons
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Our use of advertising cookies may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you can opt out using the controls above or by contacting us.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not refuse service, charge you more, or give you a lesser standard of work.
To make a request, email info@rddsolution.com or call 831-293-9702. We will verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within the timeframe the law requires. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with written permission.
How long we keep information
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept only as long as they are useful for following up. Project records — drawings, correspondence and permit documentation — are kept for the period required by California law and standard professional practice, which is longer, because a set of drawings may need to be produced years after a building is finished. Analytics data is retained according to the settings in the platforms named above.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including a secure hosting environment and encrypted connections to this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites — building departments, code resources, professional bodies. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and we will change the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the page itself.
